Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace 🧺

Choose a flat, stable surface and cover it with a towel or disposable mat. Have all kit items (molding powder, casting stone, containers, tools, paints) ready within reach. Feed or soothe your baby first to keep them calm during the process.

Step 2: Mix the Molding Gel 🥣

Pour warm water into the plastic molding container. Slowly add the molding powder, stir quickly and evenly for 30–45 seconds until it becomes thick, smooth gel.

Step 3: Make Baby’s Hand / Foot Impression 👶

Gently place your baby’s hand or foot into the molding gel. Keep it still for 1–2 minutes until the gel fully sets. The gel is soft and safe for newborn skin.

Step 4: Remove the Limb Carefully ✋

Slowly lift the baby’s hand/foot straight out once the mold is solid. Check the impression to ensure all tiny details are captured clearly.

Step 5: Mix the Casting Stone 🧂

In a separate cup, mix casting stone powder with water following the ratio guide. Stir well to remove lumps until you get a creamy consistency.

Step 6: Pour Casting Stone into the Mold 💧

Slowly pour the mixed casting stone into the hand/foot mold. Tap the container lightly to release air bubbles, ensuring a smooth cast.

Step 7: Let It Cure ⏳

Leave the mold undisturbed for 1–2 hours to fully harden. Do not move it during curing time.

Step 8: Demold & Polish 🛠️

Gently peel off the outer molding gel to take out the finished cast. Use sandpaper and detailing stick to smooth rough edges and refine small details.

Step 9: Paint & Display 🎨

Decorate the cast with pearl or gold paint. Once dry, display as wall art, tabletop decor or a precious keepsake ornament.
